The 7,400sq. ft. JD store will open for business on Saturday, October 7th
Excitement is mounting in Killarney ahead of the official opening of an eagerly awaited new store by one of the major league players in the sports fashion retail industry.
A bumper crowd is expected to turn out at Killarney Outlet Centre for the ribbon-cutting ceremony for global leisurewear style giant JD Outlet. The big event is scheduled for Saturday, October 7th at 10.00am – and you just never know who might be there.
The development, in a prime 7,400sq. ft. space, will create over 15 new jobs, both full-time and part-time, and it is certain to generate a very significant footfall given the popularity of the brand.
The exciting new addition will focus on the provision of the latest trends from the biggest brands in sportswear and it will be a big hit not only with sports enthusiasts but with fashion-conscious shoppers.
JD is a global retailer of sports fashion branded and own brand casual wear, combining internationally recognised brands such as Nike, adidas, Puma and The North Face, with strong own brand labels such as Pink Soda and Supply & Demand.
The arrival of JD, which now has over 900 stores across the globe, is a significant milestone in the regeneration of Killarney Outlet Centre as it follows very soon after the opening of the 4,734sq. ft. Born Fashions and the 1,617sq. ft., Mods and Minis premises.
The new owners of the centre have been working exceptionally hard on the project and are confident that there will be further significant retail announcements in the coming months.
Killarney Outlet Centre Manager, Paul Sherry, said that they are delighted with the progress made to date and the arrival of JD is a huge endorsement. He said the imminent arrival of JD is great news for Killarney and it has generated a real air of excitement.
“As a retail destination, we have made tremendous strides in recent months and the imminent arrival of JD will mark the beginning of a glorious new era for Killarney Outlet Centre,” Paul Sherry said.
