There will be real cause to be afraid – very afraid – even for those brave enough to
venture into the spook house that is Killarney Outlet Centre next Sunday afternoon
where an eerie horror show will await.
The annual Halloween fancy dress parade is considered, with great justification, to
be one of the real highlights – or scare frights – of the spooky season with ghosts
and ghouls, vampires and goblins, witches and wizards, monsters and mayhem all
guaranteed under the one roof for four, long terrifying hours.
All hell will break loose from 2.00pm to 6.00pm with the colourful parade due to start
at 4.00pm sharp.
But it’s not all about terror as those who make the best effort will be rewarded with
some sensational prizes including a fabulous four-foot pool table for the best dressed
boy and an amazing modern wooden kitchen for the best dressed girl.
And that’s not all. A special double treat will await the best dressed family with a
prize of a family visit to meet Santa at this year’s Christmas in Killarney Festival as
well as a family lunch in O’Brien’s Irish Sandwich Café.
Everyone will be a winner on the day as there will be goody bags for all the children
that participate in the fancy dress parade to ensure that everybody goes home happy
after a fantastic day out.
The team at Killarney Outlet Centre will pull out all the stops for next Sunday’s big
event with brilliant magic shows from 2.30pm to 3.00pm and again from 4.30pm to
5.00pm.
In addition, there will be Halloween face painting, a candle making workshop, free
balloon modelling and free bouncy castles.
Be there – if you’re brave enough. But watch your back.
